Devices will come with Android L - Could Google steal Apple's thunder ahead of its iPad Air 2 unveil?
All signs point to Apple unveiling the iPad Air 2 tomorrow. However arch rival Google may be planning to spoil Apple’s party by unveiling the Nexus 6 and Nexus 9 this evening.
Quoting a unnamed source close to Google, Forbes is reporting that the long rumoured HTC-made Nexus 9 will be shown off for the first time later today. It will then hit shelves in a couple of weeks. It is also said to be the first device to run Android L.
However, if you were hoping for a major announcement, it seems Google has instead opted to announce it via a blog post. According to Forbes, the reason for not holding an event is because Android L is still receiving its final polish and isn't ready for a major event.
The tablet will be available for pre-order on the 17th and go on sale on November 3rd according to the site.
